Please join us for a very special presentation: “Combat Paper: Creating a New Language for U.S. Veterans from Afghanistan and Iraq” by Artist and Veteran David Keefe Wednesday, April 2nd, 5:30pm in 125 AIMM.
Keefe, along with another veteran who served in Afghanistan, will discuss the mission and activities of Combat Paper, which assists NJ soldiers in the difficult transition from battlefield to home. The project helps vets tell their stories through a unique paper and print making process. His presentation will include a discussion and Q&A led by TCNJ Department of Art and Art History Professor Gregory Thielker.
This event is being held in conjunction with the exhibition, Art Amongst War: Visual Culture in Afghanistan, 1979-2014, currently on view in the TCNJ Art Gallery, and is generously supported by a grant from NJCH. For more information on the exhibition, please visit www.tcnj.edu/artgallery.
