Scholarship for Students for an Off-Campus Experience, 2015-2016

TCNJ’s Department of Art & Art History is inviting applications for a scholarship to be used for tuition reimbursement for students earning credit through the Department of Art & Art History or in courses taught by Art & Art History faculty. The scholarship must be used to offset tuition for a student enrolled in an approved off-campus experience (study abroad or internship). The award is open to students at any level majoring in Visual Arts, Art Education, or Art History. The credit must be earned through the Department of Art & Art History or in courses taught by Art & Art History faculty.
The application consists of two parts.

d. Class rank
g. Title and brief description of the off-campus experience and how it relates to art or art history
- One single-spaced page (1 inch margins, Times New Roman, 12 pt font). Each student should prepare and submit an essay that addresses 1) how participation in the off-campus activity will contribute to the student’s academic and career goals; 2) the student’s qualifications to participate in the off-campus experience; 3) the student’s related experience in the classroom, studio, previous internships, previous study abroad, or any related work or travel, 4) an explanation of the student’s interest in the specific experience and expectations for this experience to be transformative in the student’s development.
The scholarship will be awarded based on the quality of the essay and the qualifications and academic standing of the applicant.
