We are writing to share the exciting news that our department has been renamed “The Department of Art and Art Education,” effective July 1, 2024!

Over the past ten years, enrollment in our department has evolved, with nearly half of our students majoring in Art Education!

This change will serve to not only recognize our thriving Art Education program and incredible student body, but also to serve the wider community, and reflect TCNJ’s founding commitment to foster the next generation of educators.

We will continue to have stellar students in Art History, taught by accomplished scholars in the field!
