Gitenstein-Hart Sabbatical Prize Lecture | Dr. Deborah Hutton: Pursuing a More Global and Ethical History of Art

Our deepest congratulations to the 2017-2018 Gitenstein-Hart Sabbatical Prize recipient, Dr. Deborah Hutton, Professor of South Asian and Islamic Art History!

Her lecture, “Pursuing a More Global and Ethical History of Art”, is a great opportunity to learn more about Dr. Hutton’s research and to celebrate the scholarship of our faculty. Created and endowed by former TCNJ president Dr. R. Barbara Gitenstein and her husband Dr. Don Hart, the Gitenstein-Hart Sabbatical Prize supports the TCNJ teacher-scholar model, recognizing meritorious research and the potential for scholarship to contribute to undergraduate education. Each year, the recipient is selected from among year-long sabbatical proposals ranked highly by the sabbatical awards committee. Dr. Hutton is the fourth recipient of the Gitenstein-Hart Sabbatical Prize.
