Prof. Michelle Nugent

 

* Exhibiting alumna in TCNJ’s Art Alumni Exhibition

* Recently assumed position as TrentonWorks’ Gallery Co-director and Steering committee member
Responsible for structuring educational programs and gallery exhibitions for community and Trenton-area student engagement. This position also serves as a faculty liaison involving the TCNJ BFA students, to work on course integration alongside the Bonner Institute’s Community Engaged Learning (CEL) efforts and help build exhibition programming.

* 2014-2015 Pennsylvania Council on the Arts’ Long-term Teaching Artist-in-Residence recipient
Asian Arts Initiative’s Youth Arts Workshop program in Philadelphia, PA will offer an innovative new program called Bike Revolution, that aims to teach youth about bicycling as a sustainable means of transportation in an urban environment. Lead teaching artist Michelle Nugent and guests from the Neighborhood Bike Works and other biking advocacy and education organizations in Philly will teach students about bike safety, repair and maintenance, and more.

* On November 23rd, Prof. Nugent will be bringing her current work, The Pedicab Project, to the front steps of the Baltimore Museum of Art to celebrate the grand re-opening of the Dorothy McIlvain Scott American Wing.
