Christina Behnan (BFA, 2015) was selected to receive the 2015 Thomas George Artists Fund Grant Award. The purpose of the $5,000 grant is to support an artist engaged in painting or drawing for up to six months following his or her graduation from an accredited college or art school. As part of the application requirements, Christina will be interviewed by The Fund and create new work to present to the Selection Committee. She plans to continue pursuing painting and drawing as a means of personal artistic discovery in her practice.
Special thanks is awarded to her professors, Elizabeth Mackie and Gregory Thielker, who recommended Christina for the grant and provided invaluable support and mentorship.
